I have done a series of collages incorporating some gold card which was to suggest the reflections and glistening, glinting qualities of the sea. I combined the gold card with deli paper which is translucent and allows some of the gold to show through. I dragged, rolled and combed acrylic inks across the papers and used heavy duty watercolour paper which make lovely rip lines.. if that is your kind of thing !
When I have made my papers ( see the messy studio below) then comes the fun bit of arranging them by trial and error to put them in some way that appeals.. well to me anyway. Finally when I've decided on the arrangement I have to carefully attempt to glue the layers together without the papers moving.. a challenge. Then finally they go in the mount and a 25 cm x 25 cm box frame.
